RESERVATIONS: Booking directly through our website is the ideal way to get our best available rates. We accept all major credit/debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Please note that reservations will only be guaranteed upon receipt of your deposit. Be sure to check the details of our cancellation policy prior to booking your stay.
RATES: Room rates are subject to an 8% New York sales tax, and a 5% county room tax. Nightly room rates are for single or double occupancy as noted in the room description. Inn rooms that accommodate more than two people, additional guests are billed $50 per person, per night.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: Check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out is 11 a.m. Let us know if you need to make alternate arrangements for your arrival or departure times.
CANCELLATIONS: Because the Essex Inn has only 11 rooms/suites, cancellations affect us dramatically. We require 30 days notice for cancellation. Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of the arrival date will be fully refunded minus a $75 processing fee. For cancellations made within the 30 day period, we regret that no refund will be issued unless we are able to secure another reservation for the room. In this case, the processing fee will still apply.
SMOKING: The Essex Inn is an historic wooden structure that is a totally smoke-free environment, including all accommodations, the restaurant, all interior public spaces, porches, patios and property grounds. If smoking occurs, there will be a $500 cleaning fee added to your invoice for each day the room can not be rented. The adjacent Stone Church is also smoke-free.
PETS: The Old Stone Church Suite is the only pet friendly accommodation we offer at the inn. Please call to inquire about bringing your pet along, an additional $75/day fee will be added to your room fee.
