The fastest growing sport in the country, pickleball, is available year round, exclusively to Essex Inn guests. 

Two miles north of the Inn lies our newly-built, state-of-the art, private indoor pickleball court.  “Our new court is the finest indoor pickleball facility in the North Country region, and our goal is to make the Essex Inn the premier destination for pickleball enthusiasts,” said the inn’s owner Rick Dalton.  

Four miles north of the Inn, maintained by the town of Willsboro, are five outdoor, dedicated pickleball courts.  Most mornings, June through October, community play at all levels is available to drop-ins.

Cost: There is no cost to play on the five outdoor courts.  The indoor court requires advance registration and the cost is $75/hour.  

Attire & Equipment: Racquets and balls are available for indoor play.  Tennis/pickleball shoes are required; dark-soled running or hiking shoes are not allowed.
